How We Started
When we opened Wasena City Tap Room & Grill, our goal was simple—to build a place where the Roanoke community could come together over good food and craft beer. We wanted a spot that felt relaxed, welcoming, and easy for anyone to enjoy. From day one, our mission has been to serve more than just meals. We wanted to create a neighborhood gathering place where conversations and connections happen naturally.
What Drives Our Menu
Our menu grew out of a love for American comfort food with a pub-style twist. Burgers and pizzas quickly became favorites, and over time we added 30+ rotating craft beers to make every visit a little different. Vegan options and great cocktails followed because we wanted something for everyone at the table. Food should be simple, fresh, and shared, and that belief guides everything we prepare for our guests.
Our Mission in Roanoke
At 806 Wasena Ave SW, we built more than a restaurant—we built a community hub. We’re proud to serve Roanoke with dine in, delivery, takeout, and catering so enjoying our food is always easy. Our mission has never changed: keep things welcoming, offer quality food and drinks, and create a space that feels like home. Every day we see neighbors, friends, and families gather here, and that’s what keeps us moving forward.
